Trigger Nominations Instructions
- Contact the Admin you would like to nominate, and tell them about the program, using the below Template: Candidate Notification for Trigger Nomination Email
Go to https://adminawards.com - Click the yellow Nominate button (or to go to the nominations portal from here: https://theadminawards.awardsplatform.com)
- Register to nominate if you haven’t already or start a new nomination if you’re already registered
- In the dropdown, Award Category menu select TRIGGER NOMINATION – FOR INTERNAL USE ONLY
- Complete the information requested
- An email will be sent to your Nominee AND their Supervisor when you submit the Trigger Nomination!
- Included below is a follow-up email for the Supervisor and/or HR Leader about the program. (VERSION 2), also encouraging them to nominate your candidate. This separate follow up is hugely helpful after your Trigger has been submitted.

The reason for my email is I think you strongly represent the quality of the candidates that have been recognized through this program and I would like to submit what we call a “trigger” nomination. This ensures that your company is made aware of this wonderful awards program and gives the opportunity to recognize those that “do all the work” – Administrative Professionals like you! The system will notify your Supervisor once you are nominated so they can move forward in nominating you for one of the nine award categories.

I want to be sure that you understand that this nomination is legitimate – don’t trash it! I’ve also copied Judy Champion, a former Admin Awards Winner and Nominations Director for the Admin Awards. Judy is happy to explain the program and its mission in more detail. Note you MUST accept your nomination within 14 days of receiving notification or before the deadline (whichever comes first) in order to remain in the competition which includes inputting your HR contact into the system so it can notify them of the program as well and can garner internal support.
