2020 Program Dates and Deadlines
The 2020 Admin Awards program will continue to capture the spirit and fun of the Admin Awards, but without the uncertainty and potential safety concerns that go along with producing large-scale events.
Following a week-long countdown of festivities, The Admin Awards ‘Good as Gold’ Gala will be broadcast from a central stage in Dallas, TX to the remote in-home or office locations of our guests across the country in each of our 6 remaining markets. This virtual event will be about one-hour in length and will be an interactive experience as “watch parties” gather in celebration of their Finalists and the Administrative Profession. Participants will enjoy an extraordinary dinner experience provided by top tier caterers in each city, as well as other exciting elements as we pride ourselves on creating a fresh, energetic atmosphere that lends itself well to building excitement, spirit and connectedness among our Finalist companies and Admin Awards community.
While the shape of this year’s in-person, large-scale events will, out of necessity, be altered, our blueprint for “The Academy Awards for Admins” will continue to deliver an abundance of appreciation, energy and fun for our 2020 participants. Below is our revised 2020 schedule of events:

Denver Metro Admin Awards LIVE! Virtual Gala: Saturday, September 26th, 7 PM
Nomination Deadline: August 3rd, Midnight
Finalist Notification Week: Aug. 17 – 21
Greater Boston Admin Awards LIVE! Virtual Gala: Saturday, October 10, 7 PM
Nomination Deadline: August 10th, Midnight

Finalist Notification Week: Oct. 5 – 9
Once a nomination is submitted, Nominees are notified instantly through our awards portal that they’ve been nominated for an Admin Award, and by whom. Anonymous nominations are not accepted. When a Nominee receives notification, they must accept their nomination and verify their information in order to stay in the competition.
All Finalists must be present at the Admin Awards LIVE! Virtual Gala to win an Admin Award.

Dear Friend of The Admin Awards,
As we approach nearly a decade of producing The Admin Awards in cities across the US, I’ve had some rare time to reflect over these past couple of months. It truly takes the effort, commitment and heart of many to make our program possible, including our dedicated staff, Advisory Boards, Sponsors and Partners – not to mention the business community that trusts us to provide meaningful recognition to one of their most beloved employee groups.
Now more than ever, companies are depending on their Admins to keep everything together, to make the impossible seem effortless and to do it with skill, enthusiasm and heart.
To my surprise and delight, as the world turned inward, the executive community went the opposite direction. Business leaders began reaching out to us inquiring about our 2020 programs, eager to celebrate and show their appreciation, they also validated what my intuition was telling me:
The recognition of the Administrative Professionals at the core of our program is far more important than the physical, in-person events.
As it became clear that large-scale public events were unlikely to take place in 2020, we donned our creative hats and thought, “If our attendees are unable to celebrate their Finalists, let’s take the celebration to them!”.
In the can-do spirit of the Admins we honor, we are excited to announce a unique way to deliver our iconic Awards Gala experience to the homes and workplaces of our Finalists their families, co-workers and the high-profile business leaders they support.
Introducing Admin Awards LIVE! An unstoppable celebration of Administrative Excellence.
We pride ourselves on creating a fresh, energetic atmosphere that lends itself well to building excitement, spirit and connectedness among our Finalist companies and Admin Awards community, and this year will be no exception!
– Following a week of exciting festivities, we will broadcast The Admin Awards ‘Good as Gold’ Gala from a central stage in Dallas, TX to the remote locations of our guests across the country in each of our 6 remaining markets.
– This virtual event will be about one-hour in length and will be an interactive experience as “Good as Gold watch parties” gather in celebration of their Finalists and the Administrative Profession.
– The iconic Admin Awards themselves will be presented to this year’s winners, at their watch party location, “Publisher’s Clearing House” style. Participants will enjoy an extraordinary dinner experience provided by top tier caterers in each city and lots of delightful surprises!
While the shape of this year’s event strategy will be re-imagined, our blueprint for “The Academy Awards for Admins” will continue our important traditions – not to mention fun, that we all look forward to each year!
So far, 2020 has shown us that the Admin community is stronger than ever and companies are united in their determination to ensure their Admins are properly appreciated and cared for. This indomitable spirit continually inspires us and we look forward to taking this journey with you!
